do you believe that two people are just meant to be, no matter the circumstances involved, or the differences that keep them apart?
this has been a question that i have been living with for some time.
actually, i guess it's been what i have been living for--the dogma, i guess, i'll call it, that i have hoping for: "if two people are meant to be together, they will find their way back to one another.".

inspired while posting on another thread, i was wondering, have you ever competed with other jws to get recognition or favour??
i can remember as a kid, being in a book study group with other kids, and when it came time to give an answer that kids could cope with...all kiddie sized hands would fly up and we'd all look at each other in the hope that it was our hand that got chosen.
i remember some kids would burst into tears if they didn't get chosen...and others would scowl or quickly go about looking for the next answer.

I used to do the mikes too. My old man ran the sound department.
Handling the mikes was good, Icould demonstrate my technique with the lariat whirling the leads into loops, best of all though, people i didnt like, I could pull the mike slowly away from their face, or off to one side, and watch them craning to get their words into the mike reciever.

just watching a programme about the gospel accounts and one thing struck me - the notion that jesus sweat blood.
apparently it was the stress of his impending death.. now, as a sceptic, the problems i have with this account are:.
it's medically impossible to sweat blood.. there is a disease (hematohidrosis) where plasma cells can color the sweat to make it appear to be 'as if blood'.. jesus was supposed to be perfect!
Jesus wasnt sweating blood because he was badly frightened.
He was sweating blood because the intensity of his prayers, his closeness to His Heavenly Father was so powerfull at that moment.
His full faculties were engaged in such power of prayer and communication that...
You get the point.

witnesses always strongly state that they strictly follow the commands of jesus and all bible principles.. i have such an important (to me, anyway) question that i would appreciate a meaningful answer to:.
at matthew 28:19, jesus issues a direct command to his followers, that being: "go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing then in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit".
why doesn't the wbts then follow this command, which has never changed, and taken it upon themselves to add to and alter what the bible clearly states on this?.

The focus is on "God". Jehovah.Hes the big cahuna.
Jesus is a secondary figure in the mythology.
The holy spirit is some kind of airy fairy thing that noone seems too sure about what it does.
